Tow capacity of X5D??

Getting ready to order a 2015 X5D and doing my research. Local dealer could not give me a firm answer on the tow capacity for the Diesel - Does anyone know what it is??

6,000 is what BMW states.

I towed 5,200 pounds of 23' boat and tandem trailer from Lake Tahoe to the sf Bay Area last week. The 35d did an excellent job! That diesel is amazing for power and I never once felt the "tail wagging the dog" like you can in other SUVs when towing that kind of equipment. In all it was about 230 miles of towing. I have another trip over the next week to redding that will be about 500 miles of towing and once I'm finished with that trip I'll write up my experience.

My overall fuel mileage last week was about 21mpg.

That sounds great because I am looking at a 21 - 23 foot fishing boat. I know that the MB 350 bluetec has some electronic gadgetry to prevent "tail wag the dog" Do you thing the X5 has that?
