What I paid for my X5 (diplomat sales)
Here is what I paid. Wanted to share it with the forum members. I am not looking forward to the state tax once I return to the USA but I think I got a great deal.

64 for all that? Nicely done, I think it's a great deal. Although I am not sure how much taxes you will have to pay. Is it going to be sales tax on top of local taxes? You may be looking at over $6k?

About $8k more than what I paid for a similar build.
Still not as bad as Singapore where it costs 3x US, and Australia is not too far behind Singapore. Not to mention our friends in the UK and EU (Fog in Channel Continent Cut Off) who are 20-30% higher than US. |

Seems the OP got the car right around Invoice + the destination & handling (and D&H seems about 350 higher than the normal $950). That's a decent price. Not the best, far from the worst deal. Last edited by chrisny; 09-08-2014 at 12:50 PM.. |

The MSRP straight off BMWUSA.com for the OP's build shows 70,050. The discount he got seems in line with what you should expect to pay through normal negotiations. I suspect it was just that much easier, being already discounted. Basically, he got US pricing (and discount) while he's abroad. OP, correct me if I'm wrong there..

correction, I left off the comfort rear seats, MSRP on bmwusa.com is 70,550, not 70,050 for the OP's build. If Edmunds' invoice price is accurate, that puts him just a couple hundred over invoice, which is a good deal, albeit one that can be had without the diplomatic pricing he got.

Tax
Hopefully I only pay state tax and not federal and state. I know it differs on state to state. This purchase was through the military overseas program.
