M Sport - Running Board or Not?

i believe if the black portion was painted body color and the step side was left with the metal it would be a much cleaner look and would flow with the body much better.

Just say NO! It’s an M Sport!! Buy a Chevy Blazer if you really love running boards

i like it. and imo it could look better painted. there's a pic with a white M sport and painted running board on the random daily shot thread and it looks amazing. brings some strong characteristics to the car

So for X5 with M-sport package, did you need to remove the side skirt panel in order to install this? Please advice. Newbie to the forum.

Yep, side skirts get replaced.
