In the north Am market it comes with M Sport only, and you have to click on Sport Twice. In other markets it is a $250-350 option (software only). There are some threads about coding sport +.

Yep,that's standard unless you have M-Sport (trim line), M adaptive suspension or DHP suspension. You can code it, however.

Hi Omar,
I hope you are feeling better now!
Does coding Sport+ get us the clinometer display? Or does that require hardware that's absent from non M-Sport lines?

Hey, I'm good, buddy, thanks for asking . Are you talking about the Torque display?

Yep, I have to hit the button again once I'm in sport mode to get into sport +. The only thing I can see that it does, is disable the traction control on top of being in sport mode.

So, no RPM changes? It's just slippery Sport mode basically, lol?

Once I go into sport mode I notice a big difference with throttle response etc.. as well as my cluster turns changes to the sport mode one all red (6WB). Once I hit it again I only notice the MDM light come on in the cluster. I'd have to check again. I don't drive it too often it's the wife's.

Torque display is available in Sport mode in my X5, I am talking about to this, although I have to admit, I didn't check if I have this recently.

I have a 2015 luxury line X5, and have both the sport display (torque and HP) and xDrive display (incline, angle, direction, etc.) standard.

Oh - Sport + (or sport with no skid control) is only in M Sport package equipped vehicles by default. I suspect it could be coded in though.

The one feature my X3 has that my X5 does not is the ability to configure each mode. So for example I set sport mode to tighten up the steering (make the steering heavier), but leave the transmission in regular mode instead of sport so I;m not driving around one gear to low and wasting fuel. I was surprised this is standard in the X3, but not X5.

All can be coded, but unless you have the either of the above mentioned suspensions, I don't think the torque vectoring will show anything live, which is the issue from the reading I have done on it.

I have Sport+ on mine which isn't an M Sport and has no DHP or adaptive suspension. I do have the 2TB Sports Auto Transmission which may be where it came from over here, unless it is totally standard in the UK too.

Who knows with BMW

Actually sport + and the tongue display come with DHP in nonM lines.

Yep, 2TB is required for paddle shifter steering wheel. Do you have an M sport steering wheel or are you the rare person that got a Sport Steering Wheel with paddle shifters. That's the only way to get Sport + enabled from factory.

Yeah, he didn't read the posts above. If you look up at my post #3, I mentioned where you get Sport + - also why I think DHP is great since you don't need to have an M-line to get it .

I'm the rare person who doesn't have an M-Sport steering wheel (no M Sport model) but does have paddle shifters (added 2TB onto SE in UK).

Very nice . I'm curious to see the pictures of your steering wheel on how they shifters look since we don't ever really see this option on the F15.

I'll take a picture and post it. For me the steering wheel I have looks better than the M Sport one. Didn't even know you had to add 2TB to get Sport+, not that I have used it much other than playing with the launch mode .

Why do BMW make their configs so confusing and convoluted, no wonder the dealers know nothing.

Technically, we have to add more than just 2TB if we change steering wheels. That's why I have to code in the other two parameters for having Sport + work and show up on my Instrument Cluster. 2TB itself just enables the paddle shifters to work correctly with the car. However, since yours was done from factory, everything was already coded correctly to allow you to have Sport + mode, which is pretty cool.

Yeah, beats me on the configs. I feel really bad for people in certain countries that get the worst options and have to retrofit everything like LatinBimmer .

"Can be coded", any details? Also if the torque display can be coded? If anyone knows, please let me know. I'm currently too lazy to look myself.
