To put this topic down to the root. I install a spacer to my X5 and took before and after pictures from all different angle.

Here are the specs:
15mm Front
20mm Rear

Enjoy and feel free to PM me for questions and inquiry.

Here is the picture on 5mm Front and 15mm Rear.

Nice! It looks just right. I would think there wouldn't be any issues to leave them on for the winter would there be?

Front looks pretty flush, but the rear in this picture I have attached doesn't look as aggressive as I would have thought with a 20mm. not sure why, maybe its the pic?

Nope, no issue. But put on anti seize grease so it won't stuck to the hub when you are going to remove it later.

The rear flare is wider toward the end. That is why it looks not flush from the front but looks flush from the rear.
You can go 25mm in the rear, but I think that would not right from the front angle.

Good tip. Thanks. I thought the setup 15 / 20 was just right, tasteful. I think I'll head down that path. Thanks for the pics. Take a few more from the rear at a distance when you get a chance. I find that shows it well.

LOL. Further back. When I'm on the highway and I'm a couple of car lengths behind an X5 it gives me a good perspective. Big difference on an M Sport. Lately I've been looking and wondering what it would be like if it stuck out a bit more on our 20" staggered setup. Your timing in posting this was perfect for me. I always wanted to do it on the old X5 but never got around to do it and plus I wasn't sure if it was ok to do. Plus I heard you have to be careful with the quality of the spacers. I'll chat with my mechanic when I get the winter setup put on. Appreciate your post.

Just PM'ed you.
Wheel spacer doesn't void warranty, you don't need to take them off.
Most probably the dealership will not want to be held liable if they damage the spacer.

Sheesh... here's hoping Ben doesn't post a "Calling Doanster" msg. Otherwise I'll mysteriously feel a need to place an order for something.

I know. Was just giving Ben sh*t as usual.
I've always only considered getting 15 or 20mm spacers for the rears. The fronts seem good enough to me stock offset wise. The rears, especially with the MSport flares, are the glaring problem.

If you want to leave the front the way it is, then I suggest 15mm for the rear.

you should be fine here but anything more, if the tire tread is further out then the fender flare, your paint could take a beating from road grime/salt/gravel.
