You might want to check your tire balance and alignment.

I had the Pirelli tires and it did the same thing. Changed to DWS06, and the wear is better since they aren't RF's but still around the outside front the seems to be more wear. I had an alignment done at the dealer and he says it was spot on.

Mine was out of alignment from the factory. It was very twitchy and darty when I first got it. Wondered everywhere. I had it aligned and it drives much better but, now my fronts are feathered and they are Loud!! I hate these run flats too. Way to stiff, feel every crack.

are you cornering hard? that wear is not typical with alignment being off. but yeah, 20's seem to wear fast on these x5's

Thats most likely a result of an alignment issue.

I am about to replace all 4 of my factory tires. They are also Continental, but mine are the RFT.

I am shocked that at 23,000 miles the rears have severe cupping and the fronts are very worn on the outside edge.

But even more shocked that the dealer is saying it is pretty far out of alignment to cause the cupping. But both rear are worn the same, so I have a hard time believing that both sides are off by the same amount.

The inside of the fronts are great and the outsides of the rear are also great. It just seems odd to me this would happen so quick and severe.
