Recommended shops for audio upgrade?

Hey everyone,

I'm looking to upgrade the H/K audio in my F15 and was wondering if there were any recommendations for the Chicagoland area.

(I live in far west burbs)

Thanks!

You could do a plug and play upgrade in you driveway over a weekend with BAVSound stage 1 with ghost subs. Noticeable improvements but not audiophile class upgrade, especially in low end base.

If you want completely custom, I don't have an option for you. I found the BAVSound to be perfectly suitable and addressed my issues with the stock H/K system.

Has anyone compared the Bimmertech Alpha One audio upgrade to the BAVSounds Stage 1? I'm trying to decide which way to go but I can't find any head to head comparisons.

Your best option is to replace the factory amp with the Bimmertech amp/dsp. You can choose which ever speaker set you want. From focal, alpine, Bavsounds, helix, etc... they also made "boutique" speakers sets like ESB and Jehnert. But you should start with the dsp/amp from bimmertech and see how it sound after tuning it.
