Non M sport aero lip

So I finally pulled the trigger on the not original aero lip. Once I get it on I'll post pics of fitment.

Love the look of that front lip. Reminds me of the cup spoiler that was on E36 M3s back in the day.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-E36-M3-...-/132085272172

I actually wish the Msport CF front lip following a similar design.

Too "plasticy", no?

I'm thinking about purchasing this also, please let us know if it is a DIY or not worth the hassle and let the dealership do it.

Time to attempt install. Quality is good on the non oem lip, I'm hoping fitment isn't an issue.

Let the headaches begin!

From first glance that does look quite good for a replica! Are you just test fitting it and plan to paint after or leaving it raw?

1hr 20min. I think I did it quicker cause I didn't want my wife to catch me installing something new in the garage.

1hour to remove the original bumper apron (pain in the ass) and 20min to fit the new kit on.

Fitment is perfect, I don't see how an original could fit any better. No weird gaps or anything.

My xline has unpainted fender flares so I'll keep it unpainted, plus my cars dark so I doesn't make much of a difference.

The kit doesn't come with the 10 plastic rivets needed for install but for a $500 savings over an original that's not an issue.

I am really happy about the fitment and overall quality of the product. Makes my xline front end look so much better.

Here are some quick pics after install. I'll post more outside when I get a chance.

This is my daily driver and the family ride on the weekends. My kids are 6 and 2, I needed running boards for them. I'm sad I couldn't get the M package but this helps.

I like that alot, am also looking for something to make the front a bit more aggressive.

Did you paint the front chrome on the bumpers?

There is a rear diffuser for the base model too.
Would be a very good mod to consider!
