Not getting real time updates after Nav update

So I dont know if this is related to the Nav update or not. I have a BMW X5 2015 and did the Nav update from a 3rd party for 2018-1.

I am not getting any real time detours or updates at all. When I go into the menus on Nav, real time updates are turned on.
When I try to go to the BMW store, it says "website under construction".
Could it be Im not getting 3G internet reception at all or did the update mess something up?
Do you have to pay separately to get real time updates? Maybe that's it?

Try updating connected drive SW. Go to connected drive menu then hit option button. Or some combination close to that. Not near car to confirm, do recall having to hit option button; in or close to connected drive menu.

I'm pretty sure ARTTI is a paid subscription after a period of time. Maybe 3 years?

That's what I assumed happened.
Did you renew it?

Same here about 3 weeks ago my RTTI stopped working on my 2015. Renewed subscription and it still didn't come back. Waited about 4 days, the found the suggestion to do the ConnectedDrive software update. Came back right after that completed.

If you don't mind me asking, what does it cost to renew?

$50 for a year. I had assumed the Advanced RTTI would be replaced with RTTI like my 2012 X5 for free. Which I didn't have an issue with, was it super accurate, no, but it did help avoid congestion on my route. Maybe I jumped the gun and didn't need to pay, I suppose I'll figure that out next summer.

Oh ok thanks. I don't know if I'd pay any thing for it, could always throw on Waze. It is handy when you have it though.

It's $50 for real time, and $50 for Nav.

$50 for ARTTI, nav just works, I updated myself to 2018-2, generated my own FSC code so it was free for me. I think you can get an FSC code for $30 or so from non-dealers. But there is no yearly fee to use the nav.

Was that Nav software up date thru a FSC code, or Real time and active Navigation?

Have you noticed if that nav has been dynamically routing your based on traffic info lately? Mine used to divert me off the highway if a accident appeared suddenly and backed up traffic for 5 miles. It stopped doing that about a year ago.

To me now, it only helps with congestion on initial routing. I don't want to not have it, but it isn't as useful as it used to be.
