Thoughts on 50i Price

2015 X5 50i CPO
14.5k miles

M-Sport
Executive Package
Multi-contour seats
Cold weather package
Driver Assistance Plus
Harmon Kardon
20in rims w/ Performance tires
Extra Set of wheels/tires for winter

The dealer is asking 52,855. That seems expensive, right? Or am I just dreaming that it should be cheaper

That's expensive, regardless of the low miles.

I think you'll be in the ball park if you can get them down to $49,500 to 50,500. I bought a 2015 CPO with 9,054 miles in March. MSRP in 2015 was $89,000.

It does have Mocha Nappa leather, vented seats , leather dash, a few more options than the one you are looking at plus the Bang Olufsen sound. I don't have 20's. It came with 19s. I ended up paying $53,000. Mine is also a Jan /2015 build.

Hope this helps and good luck.

By the way I just checked it out. Found it searching the CPO X5's. Looks really nice and well optioned. I don't think that one will last long on the lot. They are becoming harder to find with low mileage.

If you really like it go see it in person and take it for a test drive. Be ready to negotiate if you really like the way it drives. On my delivery day there were two couples looking for my truck. They were disappointed it had already sold.

I see you closing at around $51k. Has a bit more options than you described. Keep us posted. I'd like to see the final outcome.

He went down 1k (whoopee); and incrased my trade by 1k. Honestly still wasn't impressed. I was wrong on my information though, it was an extra set of tires. No extra rims.

I think you're passing up a great deal. They basically came down to $50k.

The problem I have is that I have to put a hitch (for my bike rack) and extend the CPO as I've read from these forums is to make sure I always have a warranty on the 50i.

I'm in the same boat. Going with the invisihitch and for now I have two years of warranty left so I have a little time to decide what to do.

In all honesty you really can't go in and fight a real fight for price unless you are willing to purchase on the spot. This gives you lots of leverage. I knew it be around $51,000.

I agree. Make sure you test drive first.

Some people just don't know a good deal when they see it.

That car is priced to sell. Super low miles. You won't find it again.

I just pulled up the info from the dealer on the vehicle you are looking at and it states extra set of winter wheels and tires. If they claim it was a typo, those extra tires should be 20's not 19's.

Don't let that be a deal breaker but use it to your advantage and try and get another $500 off.

There is a special loyalty CPO offer going on for the year. If you are trading in a BMW that is financed through BMW, there is a $500 coupon towards the purchase of a CPO BMW if you finance with them again.

No DHP, no Bang & Olufsen, no LED, no night vision. It’s overpriced. I’ve seen CPO models with all the options I just listed with about 10k more miles go for under $50k.

hmm in that case maybe you are right. My X5 had all of the above minus B&O

I disagree. If it had DHP and BO plus all of the other options you mention it would be upwards of $55,000 or more with the low mileage.

Have to consider the optioned vehicle OP is discussing not what it could be. This CPO will go for $50k or a bit more. Did not realize it did not have LED lights. Besides that he is going to miss out on a nice optioned vehicle looking for an older one with more options and more mileage.

I do agree it's missing a key option like LED Lights. If that is a deal breaker then I understand. DHP CPOs are hard to find and would definitely be more expensive. That's the one option I would trade for my B&O system.

Another thing to take into consideration is the trade value they are giving him for his car.

I think you got it right in your first post. I disagree with this one.

They are rare to find with low mileage and nicely optioned, albeit, it is missing a key option that I was unaware of and that is the LED lights.

Now that is a deal!
If I didn’t have so much invested in mine and love it, I would’ve already bought this one, no doubt.

I even considered listing mine to snag that one but don’t feel like dealing with the hassle.

It's definitely one of a kind. A warranty purchase is a must.
