Recent calls do not show?

This is a problem that my wife is having with her iPhone 8. Whatever phone calls that she makes on the phone when she is not in the car do not show in the iDrive "recent calls" list. The phone calls that she makes in the car do show up.

She did not have this problem with her iPhone 7, and I'm not having this problem with the iPhone 7 either. Both phones are configured identically. Tried deleting her phone from the list of devices and re-pairing it, but still the same thing happens.

I guess its a software update issue? I went to bmw.com/update, provided VIN and downloaded update to a USB stick, but when I tried doing update from the USB stick it said incompatible version.

Anyone else having a similar issue?

Is the 'phone recents' ticked in Bluetooth settings on your new phone for the pair with your car? It doesn't happen by default. When I unticked I got your situation but when ticked and re-paired all was back.

Took the car to the dealership and had them update the software. Now everything is working perfect!

Had the same problem. Took it to the dealer. They updated the software (after 2 days of trying) but still no go. Then they changed my Audio module and update again. Now its working.

I am with iPhone X. Could it be that iPhone X is incompatible with the BMW Vehicle and destroys the Audio Module somehow? Cause I am seeing other strange behaviour as well, such as disconnecting Bluetooth, sometimes not seeing my phone at all until I go out of the car and lock it for 15 minutes, etc.
