I like provlip. Used it in my AMG. But can't afford to lose an AC vent on the F15 and I don't want to block the main screen at all. That's why I went with the cd changer option.

But proclips are solid

Here's my Proclip mount. With iPhone X all that is blocked on the iDrive screen is the portion where the map scale is. Wish I had put it over on the passengers side and I might move it there at some point where it's less obtrusive. Don't mind the blocking of the vent that much but it does block the display on drivers side temp.

I ended up going with the CD mount, I think it's still a little low for the driver's sightline, but definitely better than the Belkin cup holder (also pictured below)

Happy with the decision though...

This is where I mounted my ProClips. Passenger side instead of driver side to avoid blocking the main screen.
