I more meant what kind did you have. Can you snap a pic of it. If not no biggie. Just curious what the middle iteration of this part looks like lol.

sounds like it is related to the fueling system in some way. Did you ever try to log with BM3? You would be able to diagnose more by looking at what is happening leading up to throwing a code such as a cylinder leaning out, etc.

Thank you again Maverik259 for the fantastic DIY!
I used this tonight to replace my plugs and went ahead and did coils as well. I was getting occasional limp mode also (bootmod3 tuned). 2 interesting things: -My car is 2/2014 and had the rubber hose. -My expansion tank was held on by all Torx. Black bolt was T25 and the silver ones were T30. I did see an E socket holding something else down, but not the tank or bracket! |

Perhaps when the hose was replaced, that tank was moved and they fastened it with only torx. Don't get me wrong, I didn't think it was a mistake in your DIY, just an interesting call out.

Question, would F85 spark plugs make sense for me (Dinan Stage 1 and Dinan Intake on 50i)? Or is this more of a flash centric enhancement? Car has 82K miles so I'm thinking it's about time to swap plugs anyway, I think I read on here it's required at 80K.

You can go with F85 or alternately with NGK (more expensive) plugs. Both are a step up from stock 50i plugs. You need to gap them down too. I can't say if Dinan Stage 1 really needs them or you can get away with stock plugs, but since you are not stock and you need to change them anyway - why not go for something designed for higher output in the first place.

0.6-0.62mm (0.023in) probably is ideal balance. The guy who went down to 0.5mm (0.02 in) on BM3 tune - got rough idle. So I would say going lower than 0.6mm is not needed for n63tu. You can try 0.55mm (0.021in) and see if idle will be smooth.

Yes NGK ones. You can try - if you get smooth idle - then all is good! Worst case scenario, you'll just regap them a bit (but regaping more than once may cause potential issues, I mean if tip breaks off - then we have a problem Houston).
