HUD keeps resetting to highest position
Hi guys
As the title suggests, sometimes I turn the car on and randomly my HUD has reset to the highest position. I keep mine in the middle position and I am the only driver of the vehicle and using one key so I don't think it's to do with profiles etc. Every time it happens I have to manually adjust it again through iDrive. I've told Bmw about it and they did some software 'updates' but as far as I can tell they didn't actually do anything and I can't find anything online about it. Has anyone had a similar issue or know how to fix it? Perhaps there's some sort of option that needs to be selected in iDrive?? Thanks |

HUD setting needs to be saved to the seat memory. When you set the HUD to your desired height, save the setting to your seat memory number.

Hey thanks for the reply but I've done this already. Like I said I am the only driver and positions 1 and 2 are identical as they're both my positions but sometimes when I get in the car the HUD position has gone to the highest setting...

I know I'm resurrecting an old post. But did you get this fixed?
I'm having opposite issue. I have it at the highest setting and it keeps going to the center. I've tried saving it to the memory settings and it doesn't seem to stay with the setting. We currently only have one key, so setting 1 is my wife and she wants it at the highest setting, I'm 2 and I want it at the highest. But it keeps changing when we switch between driver settings. |

I think it happened to some people here once or twice when it goes all the way down, for few replacing the battery did the trick.
