Never heard this before. I know if it's true many would be interested. Although most have found the X5M filters provide about as max airflow as possible as it is and for only $100/set.

100% possible that I miss read...wouldn't be the first time lol, I can't find where I saw it but if I am wrong then I'll simply return them and get the x5m filters.

AFAIK they don't fit into oem box, but if you can confirm they fit - I think many will order them! How much were they?

I ordered them from ECS. They were $123 per side. They will be here on Tuesday and will put them in, or at least try to lol on Wednesday.

It looks like they might fit length and width wise, but I think the height may prevent stock lid from closing. The OnfireX5 who did tests - got 0.2sec gains 0-100mph - which is not bad!

Ya the thickness would be the only issue I think. After all they only charge you $1000 for just the top panel.....and the filters too.

. 2 isn't quantifiable to say it was the intake. Too many other factors, was it slightly cooler out, less humid, did he have heat soak prior, did he have the exact same amount of gas, did he eat a big lunch so he weighed more.

I absolutely agree pits. I still wish I had Dinan intake as at least it looks good haha. Here's the thread I took info from for what it's worth: http://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1432677

I'd love the Dinan but I know myself. I can't keep anything looking good especially an engine bay.

Pictures of Dinah intake on my 2018 X5 50i. Intake has been on for 300 miles or so and I don't see any rubs on the intake or anything on the hood pad.

Love it. Just wish I could justify the cost for some CF and marginally better intake values.

Well I don't know if I would call a 25% + gain over the X5M filter minimal ? Anyway you can pick them up fairly cheap in the classifieds sometimes, reduce your investment.

Well I would call a 0.1 sec change minimal considering this could easily have nothing to do with the intake. Especially for $1200 or whatever it costs these days new when the M filters cost $100. Don't care how more more volume the filters add. The engine can only take so much. The design of the box itself allows for maximum air intake and pretty close to having no filters installed at all as discussed already.

Hope everyone had a good 4th. Filters are being delivered today finally. If I'm lucky I'll have a bit of time to try and I stall them late this afternoon, otherwise I'll get them in this weekend and report back on fitment

Pics coming shortly. They fit and don't at the same time lol
The filters stick up about 1/3 inch too high. So the cover won't go over it fully.
That being said....on my e90 335i I have cone filters without a cover....isn't it possible to just run these without the cover?

I wouldn’t these engine run extremely hot would defeat the purpose IMHO.
