Hi folks, just switched from my 428 gc for a 2018 x6 3.5 and loving it so far! Its a lease, but I am planning to add a slight performance bump due to car being so heavy and having only 3.0 under the bonnet)
-Can I use my JB+ from the 428i without being reprogrammed(just plug and play?)
-What do you think of afe dry drop in filter vs bms or similar cai? Im aware of gains being 0-10 hp only, but I like a slightly more aggressive sound as well.
-Having an M sport package on my car Im not liking the exhaust sound, too quiet for my tasting. Been searching on google for a midpipe and or muffler upgrade for a better exhaust note (without going crazy). What could you suggest? PS keeping factory warranty is a must and up to $1-1.5K budget-wise.

Thanks a lot!)

1. jb+ from your 428i can be used on x6 35i (or you can first install MPPK and then stack jb+ on top of that for even more power)
2. with filters do whatever you want (this is purely sound mod basically if even that)
3. MPE for exhaust to stay under warranty

Would you rather go to a trusted bmw dealership or any local one is good for the mppk and mpe installation? Also I am leasing it, am I gonna pay the full price and then will have right of removing them at the end of the lease, or I am paying partially?
Dumb question, can I install any part of a X6M exhaust (midpipe or muffler) on my 3.5i?)) my friend has a 2017 x6m and he recently installed a full dinan exhaust and now selling his own and could give me a really sweet price))
Thanks

HONESTLY, i would save the money on the filter and spend it else where. I have changed mine out for the BMS filter yet the intake noise is BARELY audible. I have even removed the rubber gasket that seals the engine bay to the hood (i have done this on my 335 before which made the intake noise incredibly loud) in hopes of increasing the noise yet it still not there. The X5 is just very well insulated for outside noise, so save ur money and spend it else where.

I already ordered afe dry drop in filter, was pretty cheap and should probably have slightly better airflow. I didn like the fact that most cai systems dont have covers to avoid engine bay heat and dust.
