Sport mode & DSC

It seems if I put my non M Sport in Sport mode and also press DSC, that it reverts to comfort. Is that expected?

At least that is what I have. I'm not sure why or what is the logic behind it. I know that you need to have DSC off completely for best acceleration results - and that means we are stuck in comfort mode if we want best results Kinda counter-intuitive
