I don't think the electronics are any more sensitive in a 40e than any of the other models. With that said, I haven't had any issues coding mine, I do get a CEL that always comes on after coding, even after clearing errors and letting the car sit. It stays on for maybe 5-6 starts and then it goes off eventually on its own. That's the only thing I've noticed - I hear diesels have something similar that happens and it has to do with some kind of sensor resetting.

I tried coding the HBA as per the cheat sheet using expert mode on bimmercode. It didn't seem to work. Everything still works as it should, is there any reason I should code it back to the values from stock or is it a no harm no foul scenario?

HBA active when headlights manually on
BDC BODY 3068
FLA AKTIVIERUNG
Old value :LDS in A
New value: LDS In A or 2

Also still trying to figure out if the enhanced Bluetooth is doable with bimmercode or not.
If anyone would care to share the code values if it is possible.

Enhanced bluetooth is done trough VO coding. As far as i know, that can only be done through E-sys.

Just updated Bimmercode on Android. The changelog says:

"WHAT'S NEW
- Updated coding data for cars that received a software update at the dealership recently
- Support for additional adapters"

Anyone tried coding their interior lighting after the update (those that had their vehicles updated recently)?

AC will remember if 'Off' or 'On' from previous shutdown:
Expert mode: IHKA2 > 3000 > OFF_MEMORY > aktiv (old value "nicht aktiv")

Also will it also work when ac if off. Blower motor comes on every time I start the car.

I had same problem as you, every startup the AC turned ON, even if I haven't turned it ON in the previous travel.
Now it doesn't turn ON when I start the car if it was OFF before. haven't tested a start after AC was ON to see if it turns ON with the car.

The section is IHKA2 or something close, then Expert Mode, then "3000" > OFF_MEMORY ..

Haven't seen such coding until now but it should be just another parameter to find..

Don't think there is a code for that. Why don't u just cover the outside parameter with electrical tape.
