Catless Downpipe Recommendation for a 50i

Hey Fellas,

Just picked up a low mileage 2017 50i last week. I've searched around the forums, but couldn't find a clear answer...what are people's recommendations for catless downpipes? Also any install tips?

Barely anyone runs catless dps on these. I am in the same boat and cannot find much information. The consensus from what I've found is that it's minimal gains and not worth the smell. FWIW I have run BM3 Stage 1 stacked with JB4 at 21.5lbs on E30 for months with no issues. Which is about the same as BM3 Stage 2.

It's not worth it. I had mine made and installed. Only yeilded 40HP more. Just had my tuner run an aggressive tune instead. Downpipes just sitting now

There are two BMW shops in my area of some repute. One likes BM3 and the other likes Mission Performance. Since Mission is right down the road, I would definitely check them out!
