wow

Replaced my Goodyear LS-2 OEM run flats with the Continental Extreme Contact DWS06 today. All I can say is wow, what a difference. It feels like I'm driving a totally different vehicle.

They’re great tires, I really enjoyed the experience with them as well. I’m currently running the MPSS and miss the Contis at times.

The runflats are so stiff they make any car have such a rough ride.

I got set of 4 for $200 a tire, installed (mounted and balanced), from a local tire place. TireRack is selling them for $215 w/free shipping but they're not installed.

thinking to change to non-run flats when is the time; wondering how you guys manage in case of a flat tire? BMW assist? those third party kits? or spare?

They're inexpensive compared to Michelins, Dunlop, Pirelli which to me is interesting...

That said I get mine from Tire Rack.

Costco sells Michelin AS3 for less than Contis. Costco's price on AS3 is less than what tire rack charges for them. I got 20 inch Michelins AS3 on mine for ~$1200 out of the door.

I love my AS3s so far.

But the Contis are only $1000 out the door...

My CPO fortunately came with the Spare Kit, but I just swapped my wheel/tire out for a 19" wheel/tire from the X5M so I could clear my MPBK setup. Found the 19" wheel/tire on eBay for 199.95 shipped to my door.

Where and which size?

When I looked into them, the cheapest I found localy - with installation was $1500.
Online, the cheapest price for DSW06 was around $1300, which was still more than what I paid for Michelins. DSW were $1060+ $150 for installation.
