First here, read through majority of the post on the topic here but didn't get a clear answer
Is there a way to turn off TPM for a Canadian F15 X5? It is only for winter

Is there a way to turn on TPM temp & values? Im not sure if I need to go into expert mode in order to do it but has anyone successfully done it?
Currently, it just shows as green tires... |

Temperature display can be enabled, however, if you don't see the pressure now, it means you do not have individual wheel sensors fitted.
You have the cheap passive version of TPMS, based on the ABS sensors instead. |

Hi, couldn’t find any information on how to fix an issue I have with coding. I had my car coded during the installation of a hitch. Happy with everything, however now I cannot disable the interior motion sensor with the double click of the lock on my key fob. I read somewhere where this has to do with the comfort auto closing mirrors. So I coded the auto closing and auto opening feature to inactive but still do not have the ability to double click the interior motion sensor off while my car is locked.
Can someone point me in the right direction to enable the ability to have the interior motion sensor off again? I really don’t need the mirrors to be remotely opened and closed. |

Are you leaving someone inside the car, then deactivating the motion sensor...but it then still goes off when whatever is inside the car moves? Or do you have another method that reveals that the IMS has not been deactivated (ie observing the red DWA status LED)? Just curious.

Good question, the only two ways I know how to determine...
The red light never gives me the longer blink like it used to and I leave my dog inside during very humane short intervals..🌝 |

I have 3 things I would like to code.
- Disable interior motion sensor - Disable steering wheel motion, easy enter/exit - Enable some sort of lighting to stay on after car is locked to be able to see to walk the driveway at night. I was told there was something in the iDrive I could enable, but I haven't found anything. I didn't find anything in the coding cheat sheet and I have searched this thread several times and haven't found anything on how to do either of these two coding changes. But I have read they can be done. Thank you Last edited by ixlr8; 02-19-2020 at 03:21 PM.. Reason: Added item to be coded. |

3 - the PATHWAY lighting feature is also discussed in the owners manual on how to activate it when you want the headlights to stay illuminated for a brief period to facilitate walking safely in a dark parking area. And yes, you can change the length of time the lights stay illuminated if you go into iDrive. But do know that BMW didn't engineer this feature like GM does. It does NOT automatically illuminate the headlights EVERY time you turn the car off. You have to manually activate it when needed. If you are parked in an illuminated parking lot or garage etc...pathway lights aren't needed...so they don't come on. If you are parked in an unlit parking lot or drive or street etc...then you can choose to illuminate your path by manually initiating the feature by flicking the turn indicator stalk after you've turned the engine off.

Q7- Thank you for taking the time to post these to cover items 1 & 3 on my list. I have since found a procedure to fix item 2. I don't remember seeing the 'pathway light' when I searched the lighting section in the iDrive. I will look again. I wish the pathway light could be made permanent rather then having to activate it every time, there is no lighting in my driveway. Now I just need my broken ankle to heal and the ice/snow to go away enough for me to get to my car to try these changes.

Coding EBT
Hi everyone. First time on the forum. I've been reading for hours but haven't found the answer yet. Anyone have a list of what to change in order to enable Enhanced Bluetooth in my 2014 X5 (F15) using BimmerCode and an OBDLink MX+ Bluetooth? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

After my coding session today, the welcome lights (Angel eyes) no longer come on during the daytime at unlock. I’ve checked in iDrive that Welcome lights are enabled and set to 20s. Any ideas how I messed this up? I should have backed up each module before coding...whoops!
EDIT- I think the behavior for the Welcome lights to only come on at night is correct. Makes sense but I swear I’ve seen the Angel eyes turn on during the day. Last edited by hamanncheese; 03-15-2020 at 06:09 PM.. |

OK I have a problem with interior motion sensor. It cannot be disabled I try multiple times, pressing 2 times during this 10 seconds. Pressing one time and again but holding a bit and still my dog activates the alarm. 😂
Any advice? |

You can practice by rolling down a window...then wait approx 30 seconds after locking...then insert your arm inside the cabin with some movement. (It takes approx 20-30 seconds for the IMS (interior motion sensor) to initiate after locking) The DWA status LED (the clown nose below the interior rear view mirror) also flashes differently to indicate when the IMS & tilt sensors have been deactivated. See the 2nd paragraph in the instructions above from the owners manual. If you stand where you can see the status LED...you can tell right away if you deactivated the IMS & tilt sensor without having to wait to see if the alarm is going to go off.

Just press it twice, don't hold it on the second push. I had the same issue and when I did two rhythmic pushes about a second apart I've had no issues.

In fact, going to their website to read the info they provide for potential buyers...you may run across a “coupon” to save some money on an adapter....again, depending on if you want to go with IOS or Android.

How long do you press the LOCK button (in seconds) if you were to start counting the moment you pressed the button? If you can count to 2000 (ie 1000, 2000, 3000, etc)...then your initial press is longer than what is needed. (just pulling at straws, now...since we can't actually see what your process is). A short (1 second) 1st press and a short (1 second) 2nd press (you have up to 10 seconds to do it)...should be encountered with a 2-second illumination of the clown nose on the 2nd short press...then the LED goes into the slow continual flashing to indicate that the IMS & tilt sensors have been deactivated.
