Adaptive headlight problem

Hi guys. I have got problem with my X5 with adaptive headlight. I have time next week at my local BMW dealer for check. But they had not seen it before and I’m afraid they start changing a lot of part so I thought I should check with you guys if you seen it before and could guide me in right direction.

It started on both sides at the same time but totally different behavior.

Right side is flashing randomly and the turn signal is also faulty. On left side the motors adjust the light up and down constantly.

Im thankful for all ideas.

Youtube movie that shows the problem.

Best Regards

Thanks.

My thought also. Parked the car for drying two weeks in the garage with unplugged battery. Did not help.

My second thought is a mouse that has eaten on some cables.

But I hope that it is a standard problem with failed components that is already known about I just need to change a component.

your headlight is LED, so it would last for the lifetime of the car in theory. I'm not sure if the dealer can fix anything other than replacing the whole units. BTW, your problem maybe very rare.

I'd inspect the wiring first. Check the ground connection. But seeing the motor go up and down constantly on the left, makes me think something could be wrong with the light control module.
Does this happen in both auto and regular ON mode of the switch?

I found a broken wire in mine that went to the motor, looked like some mess up with the wire strippers at the factory and it finally broke. Open it up and carefully check every wire and connector.
