Tune and TCU tune x50i

Yes yes, another tune question.

I searched and couldn't get an answer to my situation. Or I didn't know what to search for.

2017 X50i. But I do not have paddle shifters nor do I have Sport+
From what I can tell I don't have any kind of launch control because of that?

Looking at doing a tune, probably Bootmod3 and TCU tune from xHP.
Will doing this remedy my lack of launch control?
As of right now if I hold the brake and try to launch at any rpm higher than 2500 it just falls flat on it's face. It's faster to just launch in manual and drop the gas when I let off the brake.

I appreciate any feedback and help. Just not sure if TCU will even help add any kind of launch.

From what I understand Sport+ can be coded if you have the sport automatic transmission. Im not entirely sure what differentiates the sport trans to non-sport trans? I would like to know myself because I would like sport+ coded in at some point if possible myself..

You can add steering wheel with paddle shifters and code launch mode, or you can just code it and ISTA will show you errors but car won't.

Forgive my ignorance, but what is ISTA?

I have Sport + but no paddle shifters. I actually played with it in that mode tonight. Seemed faster and even a little louder but maybe that’s just in my head

Not sure how it would sound louder unless it's an X5M, 50i's don't have valved mufflers. X5M's do.
