Best tire size
Love the 22" wheel look on the X5. Just curious if anyone is using an all-season tire and the sizes they went with.

I think the ride is fine, though I have only ever driven mine on 22s. I typically ride in sport plus. I'm not lowered. I asked my wife what she thought and she doesn't think it's a big deal. The only things she mentions/complains about are the exhaust noise and the "tiny" sun visors lol.

Interesting you went w 11.5 in the rear. You probably have more tire to protect the wheel as I have same size tires but a 12" width in the rear. Same setup in front. Seems like your rear choice might be better. |

JKM320. What non RF are you running? You said they were all season. I’ve searched a lot of tires. Can not find a brand that offered this. Thanks. And you were OK going EBay route?

295/30/22 & 335/25/22 I found the seller on eBay but ended up going direct through their shop, they offered a discount that way since there were no fees involved for eBay. The shop from eBay was located in San Diego, CA. I've had zero issues with the wheels I got. This is my 2nd set of 22" replicas both have been perfect. |

The ride is surprisingly good and no interference lock to lock with this set up (never tried the wheels without spacers though). A passenger might not even notice the difference. I would expect that to suffer if you lower it but haven't experienced that myself.
Hardest part with low profile tires like this is having to be very careful. During repaving when the lanes are different height I avoid changing lanes and if you don't spot a pot hole its a pretty hard hit. Best aesthetic upgrade you can do for this car though so I found it worth it. Can't beat the view from the rear with 335 tires. As for exhaust- I made it myself; I posted in the muffler delete thread.

I'd really want to upgrade to 22" wheels but it'd be a very costly upgrade in NY/NJ area due to the patchwork that we call roads!

Just posted this on the F85 side but CarID is now showing 5 different options for 22s:
https://www.carid.com/tires/295-30-r...ize=335-25-r22 I haven't heard of anyone using the Lionhart, Lexani, or Atturo options. |

But definitely with the smaller sidewall these tires cannot handle the abuse of poor road conditions. I've lost 2 tires over the years to potholes and 1 wheel (oem style 128 rear) that cracked. The last one was a 21" though with the Dunlop RF. |

The tires listed are larger sidewall and smaller width than others listed. Two questions..... Will these fit the rim width of the 612 replicas? Will the larger sidewall cause rubbing if lowered?
