I'll give the clip a listen when I get home. I'll turn up the subwoofer super loud, so I can fully join you in the experience.

Is this a new noise? Is it present when the transmission is in "Drive," or "Park"...or both?

If you're parked and you put one or two of the windows down, does it go away? That would indicate a resonance in the cabin, although BMW is pretty darned good at getting rid of those.

it's definitely the lower engine area, possibly exhaust. thank you for listening- you'll definitely hear it with a monster sub woofer.

it was the air intake snorkel - detached from the main part. was not clipped on properly.
