I noticed the same play on the prop shaft. So I changed it. It wasn't too expensive. But even the new one has slight play. And it's the same propshaft used on the e70 that had a recall on it. Go figure.

I'm probably just going to do the transfer case bushing and flush/reset adaptation first to see if that resolves the issue.

When i had my 2013 X6M.. I had an open recall on the front driveshaft for the u-joints. The dealer replaced the entire front driveshaft.. Even though my warranty was up.. You may want to look further into that.. Obviously, the worn bushing is another issue.. Good luck.

Thanks for the detailed video, Smashe. I have a 2011 E70 with the exact same problem. Propshaft has play in it and the bushing for the transfer case is also shot. Being in South Africa, dealer wanted to charge the equivalent of $1100 just for the prop shaft. I have ordered a non-OEM one from the US on Amazon for $111 (+$123 for shipping to poor Africa) so just waiting for it to arrive. The prop shaft on mine has a manufacture date of Feb 2018 (previous owner must have replaced it), so it hasn't even lasted 3 years. Will let you all know how the repairs go once completed

I had these same issues. Thought it was the transfer case fluid. Changed it. Still had the symptoms.

Changed the plugs and coils and voila! No more stuttering.
