Also they gave price breaks for 10 and 20 people.. But the difference was only like 10 or 12 bucks so I didn't want to wait.

But you can still listen to your favorite tunes from HD radio, Sirius, MP3, etc. in the background while in CarPlay mode.

I think what drives the audiophiles crazy is when in CarPlay mode, you then select a podcast, iHeart radio, or Spotify, etc. is when the sound quality is most noticeable. However, you can adjust the equalizer settings on the B&O/HK HU and the equalizer settings on the UAD/Joyeauto kit to your liking (I switch between the soft/classical/standard settings).

Maybe in future kits, the manufacturers will finally address this, but in the mean time, I still love the upgrade. It sure is way more economical than spending 1k-2k to upgrade from NBT to EVO, but that's just 1 man's opinion.

Hey, just confirming FM radio works while in Apple CarPlay with Google Maps, correct? Getting a bit confused because JoyAuto website comments state differently.

FM does work in the background in or out of CarPlay. nodnarb gave me these settings: AUX at 16. Soft EQ seems to work. My B and O EQ settings are stolen right out of another forum specific to F16 recommendation vs F15. Loudness OFF (in the CarPlay unit)
