Ben, is that the correct part number above for F15 X5? Ever heard of 20mm spacers up front giving issues?

That's correct part#.
I never use 20mm on the front.
But, I don't think it will cause an issue.

20mm would do it.
Found a set of lightly used 20mm H&R spacers so I replaced the existing front 15mm ones with these. Also, got the new tires installed. I now have a slight intermittent vibration/shudder at highway speeds. I'm thinking they might have not balanced my wheels/tires correctly, or could the 20mm spacer I'm running up front be the issue?

Here's the 20mm spacer I installed up front:
If I remember correctly, even though h&r spacers are 20mm, they had different part numbers for front and rear. I believe the center diameter is slightly different. Having the front or rear on the wrong locations may cause a vibration.

I thought I remember reading the same thing awhile back that's why I brought it up, but Ben didn't seem to have a prob with it. I'm going to get my wheels/tires re-balanced on tue then I'll report back.

I haven't installed spacers yet but I had the same issue in the past on a Quattro Audi. I doubt it is the balancing. It is probably the center bore of the spacer being slightly off. I have also had issues when the lug nuts were over tightened on the hub. Hopefully they didn't use a gun to put the bolts on.

Good luck getting it sorted out. It's super frustrating.

I think that's where I heard it to that's why I directly asked him above in reply #530. I specifically asked him about the part #.

Appreciate the insight. The center bore on the spacer was dead on as it was so tight of a squeeze I had to use a rubber mallet to get to slide on the hub. Note I drove about 5 miles over to my buddies house to install so the bore was hot and therefore expanded a touch leading to the very tight fit. I think you might be on to something with the overtightening of the lug bolts. Wheels/tires were put on at Dicount tire so I imagine they used a gun and not a torque wrench. Also, when I picked that car up the back tires showed a PSI difference of 7 psi I think that shows how big of a hurry they were in thus they prob bolted through the balance. I called they will re-balance for free so I'll go by there tomorrow and we'll see. If it doesn't fix it, then I'll retightened the lugs myself and see. I'll report back fellas. Appreciate the help.

Is the vibration on all speed or only on certain speed?

That's what I'm trying to determine. It's def more pronounced at 70-80mph, but I still feel it faintly at 40-50mph. Didn't get by to get my tires/wheels re-balanced today but hopefully I will tomorrow.

Just wanted to follow up. Finally got around to replacing the 20mm spacers up front with my old 15mm spacers, and the car rides so much smoother. The 20mm spacers in the front were definitely the cause of my vibration.

Hi Ben,
What set up do you recommend for a 2015 F15 w/ fender flares. Rims are Beyerns: 20x10, 30mm offset all around. Currently on Pirelli run flats. Stock height but looking for an aggressive look.

Thanks!

Based on my math, you only need 15mm for the rear.
If you want more aggressive which is best when lowered, it should be 5mm front and 20mm rear.

Hi,
I’d like to order a set of spacers for a 2015 x5 50i m sport. Do you sell H&R? I’m thinking 15mm front and 20rear.

Thanks,
James
