X5 Forum VS....
Hi,
So I'm sure you all know by posts I've had a ton of cars. And I have been on forums for all of them since around 2004ish. Overall I have had great experiences with forums. I had heard rumors that some BMW forums were not good places to be. So I was a little hesitant about this one. I was just visiting my Audi S6 forum perusing posts - kind of tracking all the issues. And came across more than a few that were embarrassing... containing personal attacks and such for no reason. People there are being quite the asses... I can only assume it is because there are now well over 50 2014+ S6s on that forum with blown turbos - and more happening every day. And those are just the ones reported on the forum. Combine that with even more with the TD1 flag/void warranty that everyone is getting over there and I guess I'd be upset, too. I dumped my 6 figure S6 for just those reasons. I just wanted to take a moment to point out, and say thank you, to everyone on this forum. It has been a fantastic place to post, read, research and interact and literally everyone so far has been positive. I've only had my car like 3 months or so...but being here has made much more enjoyable. So thanks everyone! |
