New toy

Got this recently and I have to say the Cayenne drives a lot better than the X5. Power delivery is smooth, corner hugging is precise, braking is firm and effective with base model

But X5 still has 7 seats and we still use it a lot to haul the family

Porsches are great and I've got nothing but respect for them; my wife is eyeing up a Cayenne as a possible replacement for her Land Rover in due time. The all new Cayenne has some advantages over the F15 that affects its handling; its a shorter and lighter SUV with a wider front and rear track. All a boon for improving handling. On the downside its has less interior cargo space with either the seats up or down, and lacks a 3 row as your pointed out. I'm also a big fan of the split tailgate in the X5 that the Porsche lacks, such a bonus for life with kids. I'm glad they refreshed the Cayenne interior in the new model, I thought the old felt cramped and busy.

I'm sure you'll enjoy it and for now you have the best of both worlds with both in your garage. Congrats.

Great looking SUV! Congrats. I priced one at 100k. However, the other half was not happy with the price. Back to the drawing board!

Congrats on the new Cayenne.
I've heard even the base model is pretty good since it is V6 single turbo.

I was told by RaceChip that it is one great engine.
Pretty much a Porsche S model killer.

Congrats on the new car!

Almost got a GTS but didn’t want to spend the monies for the options that I wanted.

Nice! I couldn't get comfortable in the seats, but the vehicle was lovely. Great wifey SUV, although my wife does keep mentioning the RR Sport...

Hope you don't get all the reliability issues they're known for. BMW FTW in that department.
