It could be true, am trying to do whatever I can to prevent rust (wash, coat it etc), especially in snow areas.

150K miles of engine life expectancy? That'd be a blasphemy for the BMW brand. This engines should be able to last at least double that.
Good to hear! Turbo motors generally have a lower TBF so I was taking a conservative guess.
