What is this sound from steering wheel ?

Hey Guys,

The sound of the steering wheel retracting when ignition is turned off is driving me nuts. I linked the YouTube video of my 2016 BMW X5. Please tell me whether this sound from steering wheel retracting back upon ignition shut off is normal or not.
In some posts I read that this noise could be coming from the steering column.

Sounds a little loud. Have you heard the noise change in colder temps?
