Grabbing up an X5
Getting an X5 for $16,000 off. I recently ordered a 2018 M3 so the wife and I are going to snatch up an X5 for her. Hopefully we don't regret it, lol. Comes with the M Package, so that should make it fun.

Maybe, but the huge savings should offset that.

Just to set expectations, the M-Sport Package is only aesthetics.
It'll have the same driving dynamics as the $59K MSRP Alpine White one with Sensatec sitting in the corner of the lot, that even the loaner fleet guy refused. |

Haha man Graves, no love for you today I guess. Folks must be upset we all paid thousands more than you for our X5’s. You’re gonna love it, even though it’s just a 2018 with no LED, DHP, handles like a ‘79 Volvo 244 and is soon to depreciate to the point you have to pay BMW to continue driving it.

Are you in Germany? I just picked up an 18 with the same deal from the same dealer over here. The options were fixed (except for paint, leather, trim, and wheels), it certainly didn't have Adaptive M Suspension, and isn't available on a lease that I'm aware.
So I have to ask, what gives?

As if that's always the bottom line... but honestly, if we're talking pure financials, no one in their right mind would be buying a new car under any circumstances. They're not an investment.
But value is defined in many different ways, by different people. Let's see: most mature model year of the generation vs. first model year of the new generation with the growing pains/headaches that always accompany it. And from what I can see so far, the G05 isn't that far of a leap forward. Speaking only for myself, I knew exactly that I was buying a generational close-out with the new one right around the corner, and I haven't lost a wink of sleep about it at all (neither has my wallet). Actually, I'm sure I'm sleeping better. But I'm sort of an oddity these days anyway... I'm not one who has to run out and buy the latest gadgetry.

Enjoy it OP, as long as the wife is happy, all should be good. You can always get something else once the lease is up.

100% agree with you. I just bought the last year of a 40 year old model, and could not be happier, LOL!!
This was the first G we have bought that we even got a noticeable discount...but nothing like your discount! Congrats and enjoy your new X5 Quote:

Yup. May not be the latest and greatest nor carry a sticker price of $115k like the one we just saw last weekend in the BMW of Springfield showroom, but it will get the job done. And for $16k off, does not seem like a bad deal to me.
