Just got BMW DVD in mail....I LOVE BMW

Ok so their whole marketing technique worked on me, I watched the DVD and now I am addicted to BMW. I care-less, im getting another BMW.

....I drive an e90 325i now...my next one is going to be a BMW also. (hopefully my dream M6)

My dealer was terrible, they messed up my order, they know nothing about my car, I had the worst time ever getting my e90, they dented my interior trim.....yet

BMW rules. Period.

skimo

ps - there was a camoufladged car (in black) on a race track in the dvd...is that the 3 coupe?

I think it's reasonable to say about 4-6 months after you take delivery.

Thanks Sharp - I'll be looking for it (although it is still a long way down the road).

Which DVD are we talking about here? I think they are referring to the Ultimate Ownership Experience kit. It took a long time to get them out initially, but new owners should receive theirs more quickly I would think. We'll probably get another one, since we just purchased the E91.

4-6 months  . When I requested, it said to allow 6-8 weeks for deliver. That mean I got to wait 4 more months. Wow...

Well I don't know, I'm just saying how long it took me to get it. The video is copyrighted 2005, so maybe they just finished it in the summer.

I took delivery 5/13/2005. And it took until 9/16/2005 for me to get the DVD, but what I'm saying is maybe the DVD itself wasn't finished until late summer. I'm not sure. Either that or the 4-6 month wait is just the way they set it up

Let's see...a relative took delivery of his '05 E46 Comp. Pkg M3 in June and just got the DVD & Etc. So...roughly 4 months.

Umm..

My dealership gave the DVD with the owner's manual when I picked up the car.
I haven't watched it yet. Been busy learning the car.

There are two different ones, there Lux! I think the one you're referring to is the owner's manual on DVD. This thread is talking about the Ultimate Ownership Experience DVD, which is a documentary about BMW.

hahahahah damn. busted. Right after I posted that yesterday night,
I went downstairs to my garage and checked the dvd. It wasn't the same one we are talking about here.
I didn't edit the post, wanted to hear if anybody was going to scream "HOW COME MY DEALERSHIP DIDN'T GIVE ME ONE!!"

STOP!

You guys are making me crazy.

There are (to my knowledge) THREE different DVDs. All being discussed here as if they were the same one.

1. When you buy your car there is a DVD included with the owner's manuals. THIS IS NOT THE ONE WE'RE TALKING ABOUT

2. If you signed up to receive the "The Hire" DVD from BMWUSA.com then you will wait 4-6 weeks or so. THIS IS NOT THE ONE EITHER

3. BMWUSA is mailing to their customers a package called "The Ultimate Ownership Experience". It includes a leatherette folder, cards for Owner's Circle and Roadside Assistance, a cute little booklet... AND... are you ready.... wait for it..... a DVD!!!! It is titled "A Passion for Performance". THIS IS THE ONE WE'RE TALKING ABOUT

I received a letter from the BMW marketing department in July saying that I would be getting this. Finally in September or early October I called them because I had not yet received it. The guy said they were delayed getting them out, but should be soon. I got it the next day.

So, if you have purchased an E90 you will most likely be receiving this kit with DVD. I doubt the wait will be as long since they now have them produced and are sending them out.
