I can't answer that but my worry would be that if it is possible, would it dim at night? That bright white from daytime lighting would make it tiresome to drive! BMW spent a lot of money and time researching which type of lighting is less fatiguing, they picked orange for a reason

I just got a refurbished lenovo laptop for coding. I noticed most of the information on installing esys is outdated. Where can I get all the software I need to code my F15 X5? I'd love to get this computer set up today so I can start coding asap.

Currently when in automatic mode, the dash simply displays D. Can the car be coded to show the gear like in does in Sport mode I.e. S1, S2, etc. But D1, D2, D3 and so on?

I think you can but only with 6WA cluster, if you have 6WB (fully digital) its not possible, I'm pretty sure many people has asked about that in 6WB retrofit thread.

Thanks... post #1 got text messages from my iPhone working in my i3. One question, though: I couldn't find REMINDER_TRIGGERS_AUS_EIN in Bimmercode. I found everything else listed, and activated it, but I couldn't find that one. Perhaps it's been supplanted? I mean, text messages are working now, so I'm not sure how important it is, anyway... I just hate having missed a step...

Reversng camera
Sorry to take you back a few pages (220) but i have just got round to coding in my reversing camera retrofit, VO coded 6NS and 3AG and coded several ecu's, BDC, HU, ICM, KOMBI, PMA and probably a few more none engine related ones,. The enhanced bluetooth is up and running but i have the exact same problem as albec did back on page 219 220. The screen shows the camera menu items but none are selectable and the pdc has moved over to the right to make way for the camera image, only thing there isn't one. The ICam2 is showing up in the ecu list but has no CAFD elements but has the otherstuff when expanded, can anyone throw any light on this, did you sort yours in the end albec?
Thanks in advance |

I *think* I correctly activated internet/data via bluetooth tethering, in that it now shows up as an option via iDrive. Bluetooth settings are correct on my phone as well.
If I'm opening up BMW Live, how can I confirm that data is going through my phone, rather than the car's SIM card? I still see the "3G" icon displayed in the top left so I'm worried it's still using the car... |

rear camera
Ive just coded all my other stuff back in with bimmercode after yesterdays VO coding and I've noticed the camera ecu menu in bimmercode has a red dot against it that says ecu configuration corrupt please install backup. Which leads me to think the ecu in the icam needs flashing(new when fitted) with the correct software, when i added 3AG to the VO i only had the psdz light files installed, will i need the full psdz files and will i have to update the Icam ecu??? any input on this would be very usefull (shawn any ideas on this one) and how do i flash it through esys (never updated any ecu's before) if this is what i need to do.
