X5 with M sports custom ventilated seats

I swore that my next vehicle will have ventilated seats....will when I tried to order my X5 35i with M sports package, the ventilated seats wasn't an option. The HOT summers here in Korea will be even hotter. Well, I found this custom shop that does ventilated seats. I need some advise from our forum members. Should I do it? I don't know the exact cost but I will look into it next week.

The site is in Korean but you can see the pictures and give me your opinion.

Are you not able to upgrade to multi-contour ventilated seats in Korea?

hey~ nice to meet a fellow korean here on the X5 forums. I'm originally from korea and visit back pretty often. I personally wouldn't do the custom seats just because I just don't like messing around with stock seats haha. but yea, I know what you mean when you say it gets super hot there in korea, it's no joke.

i would go for it, looks legit and professional. a friend of mine added himself this feature on his audi q5, works fine (he did not have to put holes in the seats, so it was easier).

Thanks all. My X5 is a US spec and I upgraded my seats to multi-contour seats but ventilated seats was not an option. Nice to meet you batmanken!

@nameisjae1, that looks pretty "daebak" to me . It might be nice to understand the actual Korean on those pictures. What's the purpose of that electric gun gas device? Is it for airing out the car or cleaning? Since everything was an image, I couldn't use Google Translate to translate any of the Korean...it was all just like "Booraghu?" - I know some Korean from boarding school back in the day .

Since I am new I haven't figured out how to hightlight your name Opasha. To answer your question, the electric gun is for conditioning and cleaning of the leather. Not sure how legit but that is what they claim. "Daebak" is right but I haven't asked how much it is going to cost me. Let me know if you need any Korean lessons! LOL

You just have to add the @ symbol directly in front of the username (eg. bmw123456789). Well, I hope it's not too expensive and they do a good job. Thanks for the offer, hyung (if you're older than me) .

Garage List
To get ventilated seats here you have to order the Comfort Seats option, then you add the ventilated seat option to those seats along with all the other items that the comfort seats come with.

Was this a change? When I did my build, this wasn't the case. (US Spec) I know that other regions are different.

Are most Korean orders US Spec or do you have a choice as to what spec you can choose from? How long did it take to get your vehicle?

All BMW's in Korea are Korean spec. I got mine through BMW diplomatic sales so I was able to get US specs. I ordered in April and got in late July. If I would have kepted my M4, I would be still waiting.
