I have the MPE and it is well worth it. Probably one of the better sound clips:

My BMW dealer quoted me $2400 for parts. Wanted to transfer me to service to get quotes for labor. I hung up. Is this something I could install myself?

When the BMW pricing online states $1450 and these guys want a $1000 over that for parts, I’m not going to waste my time.

Anyone in Alabama have one of these for sale?

I got lucky and a forum member sold me his for bottom dollar and I got it installed for $200. My suggestion is to put a "want to buy" post in the classified section, and then have an independent shop install. Its an extremely easy install, should take no more than an hour.

The dealer is always going to be way more than online prices.

You can buy it at the link below for $1200 and install yourself, or find a local shop to install. Note the tips are not included, but pretty sure you can swap those over from your current exhaust? Not positive as I don't have a 35i.

Did you notice a big change? Is it worth the $$?

Absolutely a big change. For me it was worth it. I also paired it with the MPPK, which is the preferred route as the MPPK adds more burbles etc. to the soundtrack.
