I can run a little richer in the mid range now without any rail pressure drop, hpfp holds 2900 flat at all times pretty much.

I recently installed an n20 TMAP sensor and have been dabbling with 22.x psi mid range. Seems to like it but I haven't been out to get some good times yet.
So do you tune a base platform like BM3 or MHD? I bet 22 psi feels throaty. Why do I feel like you won't be devastated if you burn up the stock turbo. Do you have Pure Stage 2 in your back pocket?

I tune my x5 via MHD. I've tuned a couple n55s via BM3 as well, I'm still learning the BM3 platform as it's a little different on the tuner end than MHD.

I'm keeping my eyes open for the Pure800 but haven't heard anything about it lately. PS2 would be cool, I've seen an n55 recently hit ~500whp on an e30 BM3 OTS map. A quick spooling 500whp (holding power up top) would be very fun.

Did you ever get a 0-60 on stock tune? Curious to know what it runs. I ran a 5.4 with just a RaceChip RS but never logged it before hand.

I only tried a few times on the stick tune. I believe ~6.1 was my best run but I lost the draggy of it with my old phone.

Finally broke on to the 3s 0-60 and 7s 1/8th mile.
Same e85 tune. 2nd gear launch and cold weather help a bit.

Reviving this thread.

Flashed my 3.5i to OTS MHD Stage 1, noticed the power increase immediately. Super smooth, only other mod installed is a chargepipe.

With my laptop hooked up doing some logging, on the stock map I am seeing 8psi at peak and MHD stage 1 12.2psi at peak. Those #'s seem low? I thought I read stage 1 is 14/15psi and stage 2 17/18psi?

I have a catless downpipe and NGK 7506 plugs to install, then I'll try MHD Stage 2

Stage 2+ 93OCT with xHP stage 3 is sweet… I have to still install FMIC and GFB diverter. Also have cat-less DP, upgraded tubes and bms intake.

91 octane is all we see in my location so that'll be it for me. Did you log and see what psi you are seeing on stage 2? Curious to compare to mine. XHD trans tune is for sure on my list, currently installing my DP what a PITA this is!

Can you take some logs with MHD and post them? Stage 1 should be around 14psi I believe but it would be worthwhile looking at a 3rd gear log to see what's going on.

Yup I can make some logs once I'm done the DP install hopefully today. I'm for sure not seeing above 12.2 psi spikes on MHD stage 1, which leads me to believe I might have a leak somewhere.

Got my DP on, gapped NGK plugs and chargepipe. I loaded the MHD stage 2+ and my sport mode gauges now show 480hp / 560tq. When I go wot the highest I see is 370ish and 420tq. Which again leads me to believe I have a leak somewhere? I do not have any codes, the car has been running great, it just isn't as fast as what guys claim a N55 tuned is, maybe I had too high of expectations? What are other guys seeing on stage 2 and stage 2+?

I have a '22 Scat Pack Challenger which is 485hp and it feels leaps and bounds quicker. I know it's comparing apples to oranges but they should have similar bhp and the scat is an absolute boat anchor.

Those gauges aren't really accurate, but a 3rd gear data log would help determine if things are running right. Stage 2 N55 cars on 93 octane are making about 370-400whp depending on what dyno you go to.

For reference my Stage 2 E50 car made 400whp on a Mustang dyno which equates to about 440whp on a DynoJet.

I am no where near those power levels. A couple 0-60 runs on free iPhone apps put me at 6.4-6.7 seconds which is legit stock territory. I will try using launch control to see if it improves, but I've been reading a lot of guys in the mid to high 4 second range and even low 4's with trans tuning.

I am thinking maybe my aftermarket chargepipe is leaking at the throttle body under wot. I have to run out tonight and will pack my laptop to get a datalog. It's pretty disappointing though.

I had data logging auto enabled, there was a pile of graphs (8) when I got home. Here is one, I have no idea what I'm looking at note this forum didn't like my link, so I had to add a space between . Com - please copy and adjust in your browser.

https://www.compusystems. com/servlet/AttendeeRegLoginServlet?evt_uid=690&_ga=2.10422413 1.2016750239.1666749257-1137408794.1666749257

Did a few more runs tonight, using the monitor while driving it looked like k was hitting about 17psi at max. My 0-60 is pathetic at 6.35 & 1/4 mile I think should be closer to 13.0.

Bringing back this thread.

Just recently bought a 2018 BMW F15 xdrive35i and it's too slow. I came from a 2018 BMW F30 with the B58 and had the MPPSK installed.

Is the BM3 or MHD tune worth it? I miss being able to lightly press the gas pedal to pass someone. With the x5, I gotta floor it to get around someone. So any input would be best.

What HP / TQ numbers are people seeing?

Thanks!

Anyone?

Also, this morning I was driving into work and needed to pass a few cars and I punched it and talk about slow.

After my x5 goes into the dealer this Friday, BM3 will be ordered!

The 35i in stock form feels pretty slow and tame. BM3 stage 1 alone will give you that added punch to pass with ease, can't speak for MHD I haven't used it.

When I flashed stage 1 it was a world of difference, then I bumped it up to stage 2 91 with a high flow DP and it's even more responsive. Well worth the upgrade you will only ask yourself why you didn't get it sooner lol.
