It was just a matter of time before the wife curbed it. LOL

Anyways, thought I'd try and fix it. Not perfect, but better than a silver scratch. If I spend more time on it, I could have gotten it a little bit better. But because these will eventually be the winter wheels, I didn't care as much. I think 22s are in the works!

Edit: paint I used was from TouchUpDirect Yamaha Matte Black. (Yam008)

About a foot long curb rash.

Used the sanding drum to smooth out the scratch.

Smoothed out as much as possible without taking too much material out.

Mixed up some body filler for the deep scratches.

All sanding down and smooth as possible.

First coat laid down.

After several coats.

Finished product.

Nice work can hardly notice it, curious will it cause rim to be unbalanced added/removed materials?

Not sure... if anything very minimal. Nothing wheels weights couldnt compensate for.

Good job! A little paint & Bondo do wonders. I'm just as afraid as the next guy about the inevitable curb rash, but what to do about 'diamond cut' 612's? I guess I gotta find a good shop to work their magic...

That would be harder to match. That's why I always get black wheels. One, because I like the look of it and second kinda easy to fix.
