Swapping Amplifiers/Battery Question/Settings
Folks,
I recently picked up a Bimmertech amplifier to swap out my stock/existing HiFi one in my 2014 F15. The instructions look pretty easy (the amp is readily accessible) and indicates the need to remove the negative battery terminals, which I understand the reasoning for/safety. As I understand it, the new Bimmertech amp doesn't need to be connected to the battery etc, it's plug-and-play. Not replacing any speakers etc (for now). Question is this -- by disconnecting the negative terminals, will I lose any settings, cause coding issues etc that anyone has experienced? Thanks in advance for the guidance. |

You will not lose anything but date/time reset when you unplug negative terminals.
