What is this ?

Hello,

Does anyone know what this is ?

Its a small cable hoop located in the same area as the first aid kit on the left hand side of the boot.

I first thought it was the emergency boot release - I pulled it and it wasn't

I found the boot release in the end - but just wondered what it was

Any ideas ?

Thanks

That's the (emergency) manual release for the parking brake. There should be a few paragraphs about how and when to use it in your owners manual (vehicle needs to be secured from rolling etc...and I believe you use the screw driver in the tool bag to facilitate pulling upward on it. Again, see your owners manual....BTW that's what that little warning label with the yellow triangle with exclamation point is for. It refers you to check the owners manual for (i) information.
