My last drive in F16 X6 M50d

I'm about to complete my last drive through France during the next 2 weeks in my 2016 M50d, before swapping to an M850i. I'm going to miss a lot in this fantastic car, and perhaps not be sad to see a couple of minor nuisances this go. I'll write up my final thoughts after the trip, but it will be a bitter-sweet farewell. 60,000 miles in 2.5 years, half of which were on fast autobahn up to 260kph,coping with snow, ice, wind and last years incredible high temperatures. I really respect the F16 and will miss the feeling of indestructibility and power. Crazy good mpg, and space for everything.

My top 5 things in the F16;

Sports mode; makes it a precise instrument of speed over 220kph.
Night vision; picking out invisible pedestrians wearing all black on dark nights in London.
Space; 300 litres of wine, returning from France.
Efficiency; Squeezing 700+ miles out of one tank in comfort mode.
Presence; Asserts itself firmly in every situation.

Good to read this, as a new owner. Any issues or smooth sailing?
My biggest issue so far is it taking about 90 minutes just to wash the wheels!!

You just need some proper brushes.

That and I'm trying to keep the insides clean too. A few cuts and scratches so far doing that!

I had no meaningful issues throughout ownership. iDrive controller got stuck, and an exhaust sensor had to be replaced. Winter and summer set of tyres still good for at least 25,000 miles.

That's a lot of miles on each set of tyres.
What tyres do you have?
Just about to replace my original summer Pirellis at 15k miles
My winter Hankooks appear to be doing better.
2 years and 26,000 miles into ownership and more than happy with the M50d. The build quality, power, comfort and space makes this one of my best cars I have had.
I regularly drive down to Switzerland on the French motorways and it just eats the miles with ease between 30 -35mpg fully loaded.
I'm sure you will miss your SUV however an M850 is not a bad replacement
