Might switch, is the BMW F15 reliable?
Thinking about getting a 15,16, or 17 X5 or a 2017 Acura MDX. I have a F10 528i and it's crazy fun to drive. How is the reliability on these cars? When do they start having issues

Cannot speak of Acura but I've owned several BMWs, brand new, CPO and non CPO, current ones an x5 from 2015 and an x6 from 2016, both 50i with the v8 engine and I can say all have been solid. However, all that fun requires you keep up with maintenance and don't cheap out on service or parts, ie don't go to jiffy lube for oil service or have some 15 year old work on your car just because his dad tells you he's a car genious.
At about 50k+ they do require some pampering but nothing that is not common sense for a high performance car. Just remember, drive it like you stole it but do take care of it. What I'm trying to say is that I see people complaining how unreliable BMWs are when they forget they are not driving a Toyota anymore. Last edited by ponytuning; 08-28-2020 at 08:52 PM.. |

Can you use search and stop creating one thread after another? Reliability, warranty, known issues have been discussed here many many times. Plenty of information.
