X5M/X6M 90k miles

Hey guys, Unfortunately my 7 Series got Totaled a while back from a Drunk Driver. I’m perfectly fine, But I have an F15 X5 currently and I’ve always wanted an M car and an SUV And the F85/F86 Seem perfect for me with all the research I’ve done. My budget is around 35k so I’m looking around 90k Miles, My current X5 has an N55 with nearly 120k miles (119,700 currently) And I have plans to sell it in December or February. So I was wondering what should I look out for when it comes to maintenance? Thanks!

Maintenance for an F85 is really no different than a 50i, it’s a widely discussed topic in the forums, so you can obtain tons of info if you search.

There’s a nicely loaded, well-maintained vehicle that’s in your budget range currently for sale in the classifieds: https://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=2039285

Thanks for the Information! Really appreciate how it’s no different in reliability to the 50i.

My apologies! Read it wrong, After doing some more research on issues and in general I learned that they have Rod Bearing issues and the VANOS and other minor things. It’s good to see BMW has come a long way in reliability from the “Dark Ages of BMW”.
