2019 x3 30i loaner

Took my '18 50i in for the first oil change. I got the x3 over the weekend. Few notes:

-I missed the 50i power, but was surprised by the x3 pickup
-Averaged 32.5mpg at 54mph over 5 hours. Pretty impressed an suv has that kind of fuel economy
-I really liked the blind spot led triangle in the mirror. Much bolder and brighter. I feel like I have trouble spotting the outline triangle on my 50i quickly.
-The driver seat seams small compared to my 50i. There's an ergonomic issue when my left leg extends to the foot rest. The seat cushion bolster digs into my hamstring. If the foot rest was a few inches closer to the center, it may prevent this. (I'm 5-9 185)
-So happy to get back in my x5 today

had a X3 30i loaner for 3 days as well, and like u, was very surprised by the 4 banger. overall was pretty impressed with this generation X3 that i even contemplated trading in for a M40i, but numbers does not make financial sense for me. The X3 is not without its drawbacks tho, mainly build quality, still feels subpar when compared to the X5. Road presence was also not as good a the X5 where i can bully people on the road lol. also they updated the start/stop programming where the engine cuts out a lot earlier, (when the car is still rolling very slowly) compared to previous generations where it cuts out only when the vehicle is completely still, this is a huge annoyance when ur just trying to roll in traffic.

Just got a 2019 X3 30i loaner today as well. I feel like there's more blind spots on the X3 compared to my X5 :

For some reason feels like the rear legroom is better on the X3 than my X5 when in my optimal seating position.

Yeah very similar. The small seat is what made it seem cramped for me.

Thanks for the review. My wife is I nterested in the new X3, and hope to get one as a loaner to check it out (w/o the formality of a test drive). Will try to request one at my next service.
