I actually just got shipping info for my kit so that's good news.

I decided to go cheap and take a total risk on the paint. I ordered a yellow G2 kit and a Lime Green kit. I'm going to mix them and hope to end up with a color similar to the Porsche Acid Green. If it fails miserably, it will only have cost me about $80 and more time delayed getting my kit installed.

What kind of brake fluid should I use to do the bleeding? Just any dot4 fluid?

Ya I mean unless you're tracking it won't matter really just DOT4 or higher.

Nice! Weigh it! What does it compare to the rotors on this thread?

Ya working on it. Wife still doesn't know I bought them and I'm not looking to explain again why I keep buying brake parts when I don't need to change my brakes yet lol. She can't wrap her head around it yet. But hey it was Black Friday! Lol I'll weigh when I get home from work tomorrow

Yea its kind of sad. My wife has come to accept that when a new car joins the family, new suspension, wheels/tires and brakes are soon to follow. She lost that battle a long time ago.

On another note, my rotors should arrive today so I'll try and beat you to the scale.

Lol just for that comment.

39lbs and for you nerds the F85 M (drilled) are 35.27lbs so there about 4lbs heavier which isn't terrible.

OEM E70 M (blank disk) is 37.5lbs so only 1.5 lbs more than that.

Your scale is dead on - just received mine and my scale agrees with yours. 39 front.

For those interested, the rears are 27.4lbs. Rear rotors on the Mperfomance are 24.9lbs so 2.5lbs heavier than those. I'll weigh the stock (smaller) 50i rotors when I install this stuff in a week or so.

Ya what's crazy is the M5 rotors are still another 6.6 lbs lighter and they're 5mm larger! Riddle me that lol

I have the F85 rear rotors so I'll have to weigh one of those for comparison too. Although it's pretty worn down now so we may need to estimate a bit.

Did your rear rotors come with the calipers you bought?

Well my paint experiment failed miserably and then I made another mistake. First, I tried mixing two drops of the lime green with two drops of yellow and it was still VERY green so that's not going to work. So I returned the G2 paint.

Then I ordered Porsche Acid green 2M8 caliper paint only to realize that its coming from Italy and will take 20-30 days! If I would have paid a little better attention, I would have just paid up and had them powder coated locally.

I guess I'll revisit this in a month and go focus on my tune and muffler delete.

Yea man, I tend to get hung up on the little things and everything gets delayed. Paralysis by analysis. Kind of like the muffler delete. I'm all hung up on magnaflow bullets vs borla.
