During winter, i like to wear the this on bracelet.

There are watches which can be 'two in one', with a quick strap change and the AP diver is equally at home on it's supplied rubber, croc, or steel...

i dont either... how can one put a $5 strap on a $10k watch for example? automatically makes it look like a $20 watch... i can understand it for sub $1k watched but it ends there

That strap is more like $300

The great thing about watches, is you can change the strap and change the look - a look you like.

I personally consider the PO too heavy to wear on a Nato, however, it has various options, including bracelet, leather and rubber, so you can find your preference easily enough...

Agreed I like to switch it up often and like using nato, not a fan of braclets at all so go leather strap or nato on lots of watches that traditionally are on braclet.

Just a small carrier that you've probably never heard of.

22+ years in the right seat. Transitioning to the left seat in May.

I agree, changing the look is always fun to do, I'm going to do a nice overhaul on my skx007,but even on that, being a relatively cheap watch, I wouldnt put one on. I just think a strap like that doesnt belong on anything over $10. It's my. 02

The strap was designed for a purpose, which was military use with fixed spring bars. Watches like modern CWC etc cannot be used with any other strap apart from horrible clip ons.

The CWC range exceeds $2,500, so we must take your opinion as a personal one. Some like them, some don't, but your reference to value is misplaced.

When Rolex supplied the military, they too were issued on Phoenix Nato straps and now a rare thing, regularly achieve over $100k.

The military thing is somewhat defunkt now, as the common issue is G-Shock, or similar.

Try me, we have over 2500 aircraft under contract, down to single aircraft freighters.

I know what they're used for, I know the purpose of them, but it doesnt change the fact that it *looks* cheap. It's always a personal preference and i know they're comfortable, but i dont like it on anything but a timex ironman.

Not liking it and stating it makes an expensive watch look cheap isn't the same though is it?

I'm not a fan either, except when the watch requires that strap type, but also don't preach to those who do like them on other watches.

Anyway, it's a New Year, so no bickering
