According to a rep from EBC in the UK, EBC carries only the yellow stuff brake pads for our F85/86 part Number DP42370R.

I don't care for the firmer initial bite of the stock or semi-metallic pads. The ceramics are GREAT fro the street. No problems whatsoever for me and I've been in the N. Georgia Mountains on the Georgia Dragon (twisties galore!) no stopping issues at all.

Correct! The F10 M5 pads will fit, they're just an 1/8 of an inch smaller on the face of the rotor than the stock F85 pad.

Sorry i'm late to the game here. Just picked up a 2017 X5M with 15k miles. The brake squealing is unbearable. Will swapping pads out as help with the squeal as well? I seriously can't handle it! Thanks in advance!

So no matter the brand, as long as its F10 M5 pads, they will fit?. Ie. Brembo F10 pads will fit a F86 front?

I can't verify 100% that Brembo's will fit but if they fit the F10 M5 there shouldn't be any problem whatsoever.

I have never had a squeak. I'm a bit concerned as brake service is coming up.

And for those with dust concerns, use Iron-X. A couple blasts with that, hose it off, and wheels like new. Magic.

New on this site..have been trying to resolve the brake dust, not sure I care as car gets bath at least once a week as it is Azurite Black Metallic, but rotor wear is excessive. Bought it CPO with about 14k on it. SA tells me rotors and pads at about 30 k. I do NOT track car or drive it like I stole it ( at least 95% of time), realize it weigh 5250#s. Perhaps first owner was aggressive. So, are ceramics pads answer? Read this whole thread twice and still do not know if fronts are avail for sure aside from using F10 pads. Help!

Jimmy - Did you have to replace the front and rear sensors when you changed the brake pads?

You're better off replacing them, for 20$ each not worth sparing, pretty easy to do as well.

81bear, which pads did you end up going with? Will be curious to hear how it goes for you, both right out of the gate and a few thousand miles in.

I'll let you know.

I went with the power stop front and rear pads:

Front 723-1648
Rear 723-919B

You're happy with this coverage of the F10 pads? I was surprised to see how much rotor is not being swept, looks to me over a half an inch isn't being swept when i installed mine. Yours looks like this?

Completely happy! Yeah, looks similar to that pic except my rotor has zero rust. Mine isn't 1/2 an inch though.

Are you sure you part number starts with a "7" as those numbers don't come up on PowerStop website. However replace the "7" with a "Z" and you get the Evolution Sport Brake Pads.

Z16 Evolution pads have parts numbers listed for both front a rear on the F85.
Front: 16-1738
Rear: 16-919B
But it still looks like the fronts aren't out as yet. I thought these were suppose to be out by now.
