We have Eibachs with stock shocks and it feels much less floaty than before, but without being too harsh for my wife. That, combined with replacing the runflats with regular tires has made a world of difference to the overall handling, well worth it for us!

You wife must be really pushing the cars limits. I don't really ever notice the floaty feeling unless I'm pushing it around a sharp curve.

LOL - very possible as she's going through 2 qts of oil every 2 months or so. Even when I don't get on it, just something about the ride that bugs me. It could be "loose" steering feel as well.

Thank you - we have Conti DWS on currently so all we need are the springs

That's the feedback that I've heard from others but I can't speak from personal experience.

Has anyone actually got the BC Racing Coilovers that can speak to the ride quality?

I'm also thinking that even though they market the I-74-BR for the F16 exclusively, it must work for the F15...

That said I found this post on the BC Forged Wheels site, and it shows a F15 with their BC Racing Coilovers, sooooo....

Update: Sam at BC Racing confirmed the F16 application will work with the F15 chassis. This is implicit however I wanted some reassurance.

My decision: I've done extensive research and feel that my use case will work nicely with the BR Series Coilover setup. I am not opting for the Swift Spring Upgrade considering this is my daily driver and I want a softer ride. The standard 14/12 spring rates should also serve me nicely however there is a lot of adjustability (30 clicks) on the struts if I want to stiffen up the ride. I should see an uptick in performance over the stock suspension (see "bouncy castle") and pick up a nice 2-2.5" drop for an aggressive stance. I honestly would have loved to own the KWV3s but the price of $995 is hard to beat. Too many mods to consider...

All said I haven't seen a bad review from the other platforms, but I haven't found a single F1X owner to vouch for these Coilovers. Only time will tell but I'm bullish on the setup albeit a small gamble.

I will report back once installed with my BC Forged RZ21 22s for the full BC experience

No, this setup was designed for 4 springs / no EDC.

Nice. When I was doing all of my research, I reached out to BC and they would not confirm that it would work. When you get the kit, will you measure the diameter and length of the rear springs?

Great! I'm on radar to change my X5 M-sport suspension to make it stiffer after drving smaller X2. X2 is handling super well than X5.

The front setup looks literally IDENTICAL to the Silvers setup. Interesting to see the rear spring is a barrel spring. I might reach out to them and see if they'll just sell me a set of the rear springs alone. Is there a PN on the rear Spring?

For the rears:

Roughly 4.5" width at the center.
Roughly 7.5" length of just the spring.

Thanks for measuring. That's interesting that they are 7.5". The Silvers 12k springs that they eventually sent me are 7" and I feel like they are 1.25" too short so when you install them even at max low, you have to have the spring adjuster raised up 1.25" which doesn't make sense to me.

Are you doing the install yourself? I'm curious if the barrel design vs the standard compression will make a difference.

Very interesting. I'm using an installer so I'll see if they have any color on the barrel design and it's impact. I would love to do this project but it's a little (entirely) beyond my skill set.

It's easier than you think. Wish you were local - I'd help you out so I could take a closer look at the BC setup.

Are you looking to go super low? One thing I'm really interested to see is how low/high the rear spring adjuster has to be set to reach your desired height.

I-74-BR

Make sure you don't have rear air or EDC. This was only made to upgrade "standard suspension", i.e. 4 springs
