Modding options sub $3k
Hello all I just picked up a ‘17 X6M CPO last week and I’m looking to do some exterior mods. I’ve already tinted, replaced side vents, black grille (IND), and put on 22s and now I’m looking to either lower it or install a kit. I normally install gloss black on my other BMWs but I don’t see any options for F86 so I’ll have to go carbon. Like the title states what would you all spend $3k on modding your ride?

If you want to stick with aesthetics then get KW V3s. They run around $2800. Or tune it and get an intake like aFe or Dinan. |

I've own a F30 and a F15, and one both of those I installed the gloss black lip, skirts, and diffuser. I have my BM3 from my F15 that I'm contemplating transferring over. So like you said go with the KWs or get the carbon kit.

Wow, what a fun thread. I love discussing mods lol.
That being said, can't say I have too much different to say than EuroCarFan . I have KWs as well as a stage 1 tune and RK intakes. If I had to give up the tune/intakes or the KWs, I would keep the KWs. Just my two cents. |

So here's the thing. I am not a super experienced car guy, nor do I track this thing. I did NOT notice much difference after the BM3 OTS Stage 1 91 octane tune (what a mouthful). I actually noticed more difference going from stock airbox to the AFE unit.
I would like to go stage 2 and think I would for sure feel a difference there but I am not ready to go catless and catted DPs plus labor would be about $3k. Yes, the KWs are mostly aesthetics but I notice the effect of those every time I see the car. The tune...I just tell myself I feel it |

Sounds like going with the KWs you can't go wrong. I've been doing some looking around for them, is the price tag $2900 the going rate? I already place a order with RW on a carbon kit but they got some things out of stock so now I'll focus on getting the KWs. Thanks for the replies everyone.
